In the Car
A reel of who I was before
Replays again within my mind,
And in this never-fading dream,
You’re with me all the time
You’ve stopped the car, and as you reach
Your cold hand out to touch the door,
I lean in close, across the seat,
And kiss you, though we both want more
Through winter’s cold I feel your skin,
So fierce and eager to be loved,
As you come closer toward my seat,
And press against me from above
I feel your breath against my face,
As passion pulls, and we embrace,
My body aching at your touch,
My mind consumed by growing lust
But as things reach a fever pitch,
I feel my carnal storm subside,
As my heart speaks to tell me “no,”
Convincing me it's not the time
Had I known then that this would be
The only chance that I would have
To share the deepest part of me,
I don’t think I could let you leave.
