In Winter's Cold
As blizzards rage through all the night,
And morning skies do come to light;
I see the pale of blues and greys,
Reflecting through all memory's haze.
And o'er the miles that we're apart,
Your warmth gives direction to my heart;
For I do brave the driven snows,
Against all bitter winter's cold.
Your love does pave a lighted path,
To guide me from this frozen grasp;
And though storm squalls twist 'n' scream,
Your heart shines through like laser-beams.
I'll travel high, I'll travel low,
I'll trudge through winter's deepest snows;
And when I come I'll bear a gift,
My love to make your spirit lift.
