Love Poem: Is It Love

Is It Love

I let it slip away…
Gentling whispers, like the breathless
Kisses falling over my trembling
Lips when I was young, first love – first
Dreams of everything that becomes
Possible when the soundless urge
Abandoned child, living just at the edge
Where innocence plays in harmony
With the truth, adolescent wonders hastening
Beyond the reflection in the mirror,
Starry eyed memories, drifting in dewlike
Strokes embracing the petals of a tender rose

I let it slip away…
Goosebumps chilling
Sensitive, intimate – luminous
Glistening like the sunrise, the starry
Skies winking through giggling
Winds, nomadic, as homeless as the
Hues of hope drenched in passing miles
Timeless memory, bold and vivid
Vibrating through the mind,
Tantalizing like an ageless light

I let it slip away…
Quiet dreams, affections
Resting on forever, like snowflake
Gestures abiding in the soundless free
Alive like the tenderness of naivete
Seas of solace soothe the simplicity,
Attempts at becoming like the virgin’s
Virtuous dignity, esteem washing
Away the darkness with the miracles
Imagining still life pleasures,
Touching forever with the dreams
Timid reveries with hopeless
Feelings, flames awakening the music
Beneath love’s first sightings,
Abiding like the fire inside who holds
Life like a tantalizing blaze,
Passions promise to exhale the fires
Blending with desire – smiling

I let it slip away…
But I still say there is a second chance
To feel love – to be loved
I let it slip away…
	To reveal real love!
