It Was Enough
He rode his horse 'cross the plains wild and free
Toward that special place where mountains rise
He owed no man, the land was his to see
It was enough, 'til he recalled her eyes
She'd been sixteen and he had thought of vows
The world was new and he marveled at its size
Then she slipped away, left him with his cows
It was enough 'til he recalled her eyes
