It Was Raining
With the first rumble of thunder
Came the first drops of rain
I started to run for shelter
Falling into a doorway
And into the arms of a man
I pushed strands of wet hair back
A loud thunderclap exploded
And lightning flashed in the sky
I clung to him terrified
He looked down and smiled
"Perhaps, I will see you home"
I hesitated but a moment
He was quite handsome for sure
I felt so safe with him
We left our doorway shelter
Walking together as raindrops fell
