Just Us Two
your skin,
soft as breath,
radiating a warmth too
soothing to understand-
your hands,
strong as ore,
cascading safety as I often
roam the shores of mishap
a fever races, my passion embraces,
chills down my spine thanking God
you
are
mine
my love, you soar with the divine
(so let’s entwine after we dine…)
and
you are near when far, no distance can hover-
traveling into tender lavender dreams,
seeking only your light,
fearing not kismet…
and loving none
other but
you
as we twist into a midnight sway,
we tarry into the dawn of day-
savoring each touch with a kiss,
sailing on into love’s sweet abyss
so I lift my kind hands up with a vow of assurance,
for without you I’d be locked in such durance-
we shall never part by hand nor heart,
living each day with pride;
each morn a new start,
you by my side-
holding you,
just us…
two
I
NEED YOU
LIKE LUNGS NEED AIR
and o, that fawn skin so fair-
for our love shall never depart,
and yellow has turned blue-
your silhouette, like art;
hit by cupid’s dart
one soul to share,
stroke my hair-
needing you,
just us...
two
as each day passes
I love you more than the last-
utterly adored
gratitude forever
with true ease feeling Autumn’s
breeze, loving into morn, tonight we're
alone; you adorn me, freed me from
weeping willow trees; choosing the
life we live as genuine lovers...
longing, aching with a deep
yearn to give, and never
running nor blind to
a sacred decree;
it's just you
and
me
