Kay's Story
KAY’S STORY
He offered to escort her; the stars were shining bright.
She said, “Yes please;” perhaps her luck had changed that night.
They hadn’t danced together throughout the summer ball.
Kay had wondered whether he fancied her at all.
Walking slowly on the sand, beneath the moon above,
Talking softly, hand-in-hand, he told her of his love.
Now twenty years they’ve had; Kay tells their kids with glee,
How finally their dad declared his love beside the sea.
