Kiss Me Gently
Kiss me, gently, just a small kiss;
a brush on my lips to let me know you care.
Gently does it, like a swallow that glides
on the hot currents of air, silently seeking its nest,
like a shoal of sardines that follow the current
and weave their way beneath the surface
of calm billows.
Like small waves that kiss the golden sand,
and wash away the ugly weeds
that litter the uneven dunes.
So gently kiss me as I wish it to be,
to let me dream away,
to wake me up from stupor,
knowing that you are near.
Please, just one gentle kiss.
