Love Poem: Laceration

Laceration

No one cared for my worth in this world,
the cut that I make, my fatal mistake,
and the blood that poured from the wound of my flesh,
with carvings inscribed, let the blood rain forth....

Didn't think anybody cared,
never felt the love intrusted,
never thought to think at all,
because to me I was worthless....

Keep me etched inside your heart,
for tomorrow is when the blood comes forth,
maybe the end is the best in its time,
the end is what gives meaning to rhyme,

One certain fact that I keep stored,
is that there is love for the one I adore,
I'll keep the picture of you on my desk,
Next to the blood stained knife,
and before I make an incision,
I will arrive at my own decision,
at which one I would rather have more.

Everything of value, everything to me,
the fate of my blood, or the love in me,
have myself cast from this world?

I think I would rather have you in my world.
