Letter of a Foolish Guardian
The night has fallen, across thy kingdom.
The moon has risen, so do stars.
Yet there was light, from your quarter.
Forgive this foolish guard, for ask bluntly.
What troubles your mind, my fairest princesses?
Many time I passed by, I glanced thee.
The expression of worry, aches my heart.
For such beautiful face, ruined by worries.
It tortures my soul, with every glance.
For I hope only, for your happiness.
I prayed for thee, for peaceful mind.
Yet thy expression still, express no peace.
I cursed my soul, for being powerless.
I shed my tear, from your suffering.
“Why are you crying?” you asked gently
“I have failed thee” I answered hastily.
You embraced me tight, with thy wings.
“You have done well, my dearest guard”
The wings warmed me, deep into heart
I snuggled upon thee, like a child.
The heartbeat from thee, like a lullaby.
Calms the worry soul, of this guard.
“You have not fail, you have helped”
You said to me, with warmest smile.
Yet it confuse me, more than before.
“Am I not failure” I finally asked
You giggled like child, with such innocent.
“Your lullaby reaches me, it sooth me”
I smiled with glee, yet still confused.
Sensing the confusion within, you leaned closer.
“It brought the love, and tender care”
You said with grace, like radiant sun.
I weep away tear, look upon thee.
Like an unsettled child, look upon mother.
“The lullaby you sang, indeed brought peace”
“But there are more, it brought along”
You said with glee, and warmest smile.
“It told me, alone I am not”
“For someone who cared, watched over me”
You said so with, more merrier tone.
“I am grateful, for your loving tone”
“Yet nothing troubles me, but you alone”
You said with sorrow, in those eyes.
Which sunken my heart, into the abyss.
“Am I the source, of thy worries?”
You nod gently with, those sorrowful eyes
“You endanger your life, in danger’s face”
“Which fright me more, than other threat”
You tried remain calm, yet heart betrays
And I can see, the teary eyes.
“But I must to, for thy glory”
“I am the tip, of your sword”
I said with pride, yet you sadden
Which deeper the burden, of my heart.
“Sacrifice not for me, my foolish guard”
“There is no glory, in your demise”
“For you are my, most cared one”
You said with blush, over thy cheek.
From thy word alone, I suddenly realize.
Seek not the soldier, But true companion.
I dropped my sword, and my defense.
To present to you, companion you seek.
Your wings embraced me, sooth my worry.
In the very end, I am foolish.
