Your voice, your face, your love for me exist still in my heart and mind. Though you've been gone for many years, your essence isn't hard to find. I hear expressions you once used; you speak your truths to me once more. I see you in my siblings' eyes and feel you to my very core. When visiting the library, I see the romance books you read. A lovely plaque that speaks of you sits on the dresser near my bed. We still have feasts on Christmas Day. I always smile, remembering your pies and meats--that gravy, which I poured on almost everything! When others think and speak of me, I hope they have a kindly view. Perhaps they'll see my better traits, those nurtured by the Lord and you. April 15, 2023 Letter To My Mother Contest Placed 2nd Sponsor: Anoucheka Gangabissoon
