Light of Endearment
POEM " THE LIGHT OF ENDEARMENT " by martin gedge
I always held a candle in the chamber of my heart
to give of someone special like a flame to light the dark
she is more then just angel with a perfect pedigree
from head to toe with grace and flow she fits me to a "T"
a certain set of style and a smile to bloom a room
a flower full of fashion with the passion to balloon
the sense of understanding in the face of every tear
the one to take enrollments in the moments you are near
the air of the aroma spreading perfume like a kiss
a sweetness of your sugar on the skin I can't resist
the eyes of boyish wander as I gaze on from afar
with hopes of love I'm missing wishing every shooting star
the fresh of every morning as you break into the sun
to fidget with my feelings when were joking poking fun
I walk away just knowing glowing smiles deep inside
if only you would notice all the focus I have tried
so I'm holding out a beacon on a ship of my distress
to answer to the calling as I'm sending S.O.S
the light of my endearment on the one that I adore
a sailor at your service on the beaches of your shore....
