Look of Your Demise
As I look to the sky, I see a plane fly by,
To stop and reminisce about you and I.
Remembering the times that were far and few between,
The life we lived just wasn’t meant to be.
When I looked into your eyes, I could see my own demise.
Profanity poured from my mouth,
And the arrow falls out.
The one that protruded from my heart now falls apart,
Only to disappear in the blood that you now crucify me with.
With arms spread wide
I see my life flash before my eyes.
To see our arguments and fights unfold,
I see the stories you never told.
The stories I exposed were those
You never claimed to know.
How foolish could I be,
To believe in your own serenity.
But I would like you to know that my sorrow,
Now falls upon the one that looks into your eyes
Because it is a given,
He will see his quest for a dark death.
I can see the surprise in your eyes,
But yes, I am still alive!
Alive, without the fear of my own demise,
That used to be your eyes.
