Lost
My soul is shattered. the pieces will remain scattered.
I am no longer whole; broken,lost,and alone.
I play my role, going through the motions,
Like an emotionless drone.
Awkward and quiet possibly misunderstood.
Always running from the shadows but it does no good.
Fearing and dreading the one who will put me back.
They say love conquers all but my heart has turned black.
Blacker than a moonless night, blacker than the deepest ocean
I'd cry if i could but its a pointless notion.
Something has consumed my heart,
Slowly but surely tearing it apart.
Dragging me further into this never ending abyss.
Where pain is plentiful but love is amiss.
Maybe someday i will arise from this hole,
Find all the pieces to heal my soul.
But until that day here is where ill remain,
Friends with nothing but the black endless pain.
