Lost and Found
Discovering a heart in the lost and found
He put it in his pocket
Took it home and carefully placed it
In a silver locket
Around his neck is where it hung
Oh what a lucky find
A lonely heart to hang with his
Together kept perfect time
When one day a cry went out
A voice of such distress
Description of the heart he found
He became, deeply depressed
The love he'd found he couldn't keep
It belonged to someone else
Now empty locket and his heart
Were both back on the shelf
Distraught with sadness everyday
How hollow he'd become
His locket tarnished and turned black
Poor heart was cold and numb
His days grew long, he couldn't sleep
Just sit all night and cry
Until the day their time ran out
Then both just up and died
