Love
“ 7 Very rarely will anyone die for a righteous man, though for a good man someone might possibly dare to die. 8But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us. 9Since we have now been justified by his blood, how much more shall we be saved from God's wrath through him!" Rom 5:7-9 NIV
Love is what we ask for
For love is what we need
There’s nothing more desirable
For on love all life is teed
Love should always be cherished
Valued so much more than it is
Some say it’s a sign of weakness
Some see it as true bliss
Love comes from God
For the Bible tells us ‘He is Love’
It permeates our lives
As we receive it from above
It makes us feel warm and fuzzy
A feeling that most of us know
But it’s a lie that it’s weak—
For there’s power in its flow
Because God is love
And love is the cement
That keeps this world together
Without it there’d be much lament
We need God’s love daily
To help us through life’s journey
Love helps us revive—
From exhaustion, hatred or envy
Love is the crowning glory
Of all that’s here on earth
Without God’s gift of love—
There’s no life with worth
So when Love is the centre
Of all we do and say
This world’s a better place for all
In so many, many ways.
