Love Lost In Lavender Fields
the jasmine breeze encompassed me with her scent.
she left me with splendid desires to apprehend your
touch-
chills of a fever you bestowed rush down my spine,
and I am forever lost in what could have been;
what might have been.
echoes of solitude quench my thirst for your smile-
silhouettes of lost love have given me pain beyond
god’s comprehension.
medallion sunsets remind me of you-
and the ebon nights leave me alone.
for you were my lavender field in the Spring;
my genuine reason for breathing.
