Love of An Eagle
I look into the darkness of the deep water.
Its brightness glows in the moonlight of the night.
As I touch it with my hand it reflects the open circles.
Of its ever increasing emotions.
On the sides the grass is growing short.
I watch it as it reaches the highest point of the sky.
On my wings I fly making my way to you.
There are things we each must do.
My wings are heavy my heart is sad.
I know my lifes end is almost near.
But I never had any fear.
For you have always been near.
I have always accepted the truth.
About the way it was with me and you.
Always we were meant for each other.
We always knew we would always be lovers.
Times are strange the future always bleak.
I worship the day when I awaken from my sleep.
My dreams are bright the colours bland.
The nightmares make me hate this land.
The air is strange the smell is fear.
I feel something bad is coming near.
Your call from the wild I cannot hear.
Why do I hold your faith in our love so dear.
My time is shorter even more now
I know I wont ever see you again somehow.
And in the distance I see you far away
Your embrace I will remember always.
Your eyes glow bright in my mind.
I know for our children we did our best.
They became beautiful when they flew the nest.
You look for me but you cannot find
I wanted your embrace one last time.
Maybe we will once again be man and wife.
No regrets no bad times we always found.
Now I leave you I fall to the ground
I break my body you don’t hear the sound.
My spirit rises I watch you below.
And now you pick me up.
You look up and my smile you see.
You stroke my wings and whisper I love you.
Then you fly on the wind to roam alone.
An Eagle to fly across the sea.
One day you will come home to me
