Love of God For All
It goes with the old saying,
“one at a time,”
while there are so many things to be done,
it may be hard to prioritize which one.
However, I may need to take an extra mile
to reach out to those who’re down;
in a society - so replete with poverty,
in reality, those who live in the Third World country.
It’s a preferential choice,
being global and focused on the grassroots.
They’re the poor of Yahweh
known as the anawim in Hebrew;
their experience across human afflictions
provide them with strength, endurance and commitment.
Some actions and reactions towards these people
reflect a negation to Christian principle
love and compassion that takes in many forms
through their witnessing or good example,
as revealed in different ways.
It’s completely touching base -
with the plethora of our struggles.
yes, the world for them needs urgency
like a continuing cry that seeks justice;
mercy and love – hesed, a word in its ageless wisdom
embraces the whole meaning: God’s love for all.
