Love Ran Without a Key
Red crystals hang underneath black mirrors the reflection of truth is shows,
My diabetic heart crammed with sugar telling me I wasn’t born with a crown,
Love was afraid of night that it ran and left me singing with words of hurt,
My heart was shattered with the shot of bitter nectar a swarm of hate it left,
Towers of insecurity slithered above the ground that my feet lived on
Each tower holds their hand to encompass me in October astringent night.
Doors closed and opened but closed with mocked as I attempt to follow the air.
That holds the smell of real red roses that taste sweeter then blood I’ve known.
