Lovers Make New Memories
november greys linger
while clouds surrender
over varied battlefields
of scars and losses against
the tireless machine of Time
seasons march on past us
a bulldozer charging through
indifferent to meandered memories
of lovers in summer fields and meadows
the slate bared once falls the first white veil
with its hush that covers what once was
and prepares the way for what will be
and so it goes november sets the stage
for what’s to come
