Love Poem: Magic Wings

Magic Wings

You try to hold whelming tears; yet they trickle down with ease. For each is tethered to fears; that lies no longer appease. Once you have lost all but hope, happiness slips from your grip. And as you struggle to cope, you suppress a trembling lip. Taking control of your fate; innocence opens its eyes. And in this frustrated state, you recognize truth from lies. Aware of the pain love brings, anxieties swiftly climb. And you dream of magic wings to escape the hands of time. From the fringes of disdain, emptiness consumes your day. And deceived, yet once again; love fades while heartaches stay.
