Mama

She colored my world in shades of hope Shining light through the darkness Caressing those shimmering dreams With appreciation of me, my vision All the pieces of me that sought freedom To dance through this world with passion Inspiration and enthusiasm to desire Sparks of joy, insight and beauty All the glories of knowing my longings Were worthy of the time I placed in them She was wise beyond her years, with prudence Flaming excitement and thrills through the Horizon of faith in His grace and the soothing Comforts of a God who knows that I am one Who loves unconditionally, with sensitivity And assurance that love is the answer to pain The remedy for sorrow and all that gives my Prayers the blessing of responses that are aware True delight comes down from the God of heaven Who answers our prayers with solutions that resonate With clarification, wonder and discernment She breathed kindness into my spirit from her Gentle aura of feelings, opinions and ideas Which taught me the beauty in all that brings calm All that loves with assurance and confidence Whispers of elation drift through the air around her Bringing with them softest silence, hints of affection Drawing me to them like a magnet draws the iron Wishes for compassionate revelations incite my heart Through intimacy with the Creator, the Lover of my soul The One who knows me better than my own heart could God, who my mama taught me about until I understood His love is the love that could reach beyond the doubts That left me wanting, into the soul of promise, solace Where reflections of meaningful instruction assure me That I am someone who knows His truth will be my peace With God, serenity releases me from the desire to be Anything but the woman my mama knew I could be The woman who loves, lives and longs for the best blessings God sends to those who give their lives to Him The One who is the supplier of both love and passion!
