Man In Diguise
ONE word,
Two people,
Multiple Meanings.
Love.
The eyes to one’s heart open and shut,
Opening to the wrong person leaves a slice, a cut.
Making the roller coaster of life reality,
As the days linger it’s harder to trust someone besides me.
Time doesn’t patch hurt and sorrow,
And this why I live as if there’s no tomorrow.
Because as we curl into the word love,
Over our head flies a white dove.
Symbolizing needs and wants from another human,
Covering the real meaning and actions with sin.
Sin that love is a touch and a feeling,
But what needs to be looked at is each wing.
Each wing that makes the dove take flight,
With each wing working together flying out of sight.
As the word is known to have one meaning,
People these days are starting to make their own song to sing.
But putting two people together in this chaotic land,
Comes with respect and the want to make it through times when the sand, becomes quicksand.
In one girls heart in the lands of corn and blue skies,
She imagines a man-although can’t see him because he’s in disguise.
Going day by day with hope,
She tries to find him but learns to cope.
Cope with giving chances to men,
Throwing the rough ones back in the den.
When behind the scenes there’s the man you call a friend,
Picks up his phone when ever I send.
Doesn’t ask for more than I am or can be,
Like putting a golf ball up on the tee.
Ready to hit it-but needs to focus,
Because he knows I shouldn’t be treated like bogus.
Little did we know we went through our hard times,
Kind of like these rhymes.
There’s ups and downs but those who stay around,
Sometimes don’t make a sound.
