Many Vanished Pleasures of Life
Many vanished pleasures of Life
Inspired by the Painting of Camille Pissarro - Rue de Gisors, 1868

How simple and beautiful was life
Many man decades ago,
When wonders of today had not touched
The peace corners of our minds.
When travelling on foots and horses
Was a passion of both men and women
Whether they were young or old
Or they were moving in a caravan.
When reading and writing, painting and music
And even carving on stone, used to give us
The most serene and lofty pleasures of life
When love and hatred too were there in life
But they generally never used to enter
In the sublime chambers of our hearts and soul.
When simplicity of life,
was a passion for attaining objectives of life, and
To achieve the highest goals and ambitions,
without sacrificing our thoughts and visions
What a beautiful life it was
When people had time for listening
The music and tunes of others, as well,
While playing their own to win some hearts.
May be there was lack of many amenities of life
However, unlike today,
we had sincere and dependable friends
to share our thoughts.
