May I Never Know
For summer love’s return of wintry stone
That shattered panes upon forevers clear,
And drifted thoughts that travel life alone,
But reckoned twice unhinged to hold you near;
For victims lost within my violent quake
Those now, before, and still tomorrows too,
When only once increased so did my wake,
As did my currents’ thirst again for you;
For that I sought remembrance through a kiss,
In hopes to stir romantic scenery,
Wherein exists desires inspired by bliss,
To make anew exhausted greenery;
By lines confined shall my despair remain,
That may I never know of your disdain.
