May It Find You
At the dawn of the day may Love find you,
As the sun dances wild through the leaves.
May it follow you around through all of your days,
And reside in a heart that believes.
May your days be full of friends and family you cherish,
And waste not a second on hate.
Be generous to those even if they are selfish,
For they too have their moment with fate.
Give all that you have to the wonder,
Of the how and from where it all came.
Forgive and be kind to your family,
For it is they too who have been gifted your name.
Remember those whom have gone before,
And always speak well of them often,
Recite their kind words in their honor and memory,
And the hardness of life you will find soften.
And when the tempest of life is upon you,
Take comfort and know Love is there.
Do you remember those leaves that were dancing?
They shall dance until those trees are bare!
Take note of a person that needs you,
And try as hard as you can to provide.
For in moments like these you will find purpose,
And where life’s secret blessings…they hide.
Forgive all of those who have wronged you,
Something hurt them that you will not know.
In the hurt and the pain lies the wisdom,
And it is here where you find you will grow.
Remember that Love is always with you,
Though a shadow in the dark it may seem,
At the end of the day may Love find you,
And it is there in the dark you may dream.
