Maybe
Maybe, one day
we’ll dance on these sodden boards
before they creak and cave
Our hands might crave a little harder
filing into the gaps like clockwork
Maybe we’ll lie close
bed in the soft grass
breathing like one being again
our soft eyes at rest
with the sky, so close,
a deep blue dome, home
Our day will be spent
down to the ends of our stark toes
which clench and unfurl
between kisses and happy smiles
Your voice will fall so gently upon me
like the summer breeze
which will fill my lungs with loving words
that are only yours, only for you, always true
always blue
I only need you to breathe
and to make my soul beat
and maybe that day will come
where we will be one
Maybe baby, maybe
