Meaningless Without You
When I think of the things that I knew
And consider the places I’ve been
It soon becomes meaningless without you
Seeming somewhat trite and déjà vu
I spontaneously break into a grin
Thinking back of our first rendezvous
Through the years our love grew ever true
While many fabulous adventures we’d spin
Then I think of the things that I knew
All becomes meaningless without you
I forbid my heart to be filled with chagrin
You would hate to be seeing me blue
I’m now thinking of getting a tiny tattoo
Showing a sensual mandolin
Always there you would be right on cue
I’m deciding on the size and the hue
Where your breath would be caressing my skin
Whenever I’d think of the things that I knew
Life would feel less meaningless without you
