Meant To Say I Love You So
Meant To Say I Love You So
My Wife Jill wanted me to write a poem
for her similar to Elizabeth Barrett Browning.
This is it.
When softly single song bird starts to sing
Somewhere soon surely know it will be spring
Fragrant flowers flow while sun starts to shine
Things are truly beautiful and totally divine.
Your pretty presence there among everything
Precious memories from past back will bring
Like lovely stars shining there in the night air
Along with yours which is way beyond compare.
A precious person like you rarely can I find
You being here brings me much peace of mind
As the dew drops will fall into a morning breeze
Caressing lovely leafs like you through tall trees.
What would you think if this poem I did present
Could it possibly gain all of your dear consent
And if it does it is meant to say I love you so
Throughout your total being from head to toe.
