We say our goodbyes and we move on,
But sometimes it takes our hearts a little longer.
All those memories and feelings don't just go away -
So often they stick around for years and years...
The ebb and flow of life is real,
Like waters that run to the sea;
Everything gets mixed up more and more;
You can never just shut a door...

Why can't we just forget?
Especially when no one is around?
Why can't we outrun the past?
Why don't these love songs last?
What more can we say or do?
To keep our love close to us for good?
