Mirrors
If there were mirrors walking along with us at every step
We would be trudging into the dungeons of our own ugly shadows
Like devils they would wallow us up every fleeting hour
Consuming us in our reflectors of glittery emptiness
But we live with artistically gilded mirrors to flatter our egos
A smile curls up the lips as the eye meets itself, a tryst with narcissism!
