Money: Blessings and Cruses
Money, a five-letter word, so potent yet complex,
A force that drives us to achieve and to amass,
We yearn for it daily, and pray for it with might,
But in its pursuit, we must tread with care and light.
It's just a paper, torn and burned, a means, not an end,
Yet some are consumed by greed, unable to comprehend,
The pain it inflicts, the lives it destroys,
For wealth it may bring, but happiness it seldom deploys.
Insecurities heightened, and fear takes its toll,
A lack of it may lead to rejection, a heavy toll,
Families divided, friendships torn apart,
As we let money dictate our every start.
Nations crumble, and morals decay,
As we chase after riches, losing our way,
But amidst the chaos, let's not forget,
That love, compassion, and kindness hold a deeper debt.
Money can buy comforts and material gains,
Yet leaves us yearning for what truly sustains,
It can't heal our souls, or fill the void within,
For true happiness lies in the love we can begin.
So, let's strive for balance, and a purpose that's true,
For money, though useful, can't define me or you,
Let it not blind us to life's treasures so grand,
To the simple joys and moments that expand.
Let's cherish the laughter, the bonds we create,
For love and connection make life truly great,
In this world driven by money and desire,
Let's remember to stoke love's eternal fire.
