Mono No Aware
Warm, soothing talks that lit my days,
Such tender words you'd always say.
I'm madder than I've ever been,
Because of you, my sweetest sin.
You seized me with your childish smile,
Enchanted by your graceful style.
My dear, I dare not ask for more,
Such bliss I've never known before.
When next to you, my world would glow,
A soul so pure as winter's snow.
Your hazel eyes held steadfast faith,
That fate would bind our paths till late.
Do you recall those months ago,
How we entwined beneath the snow?
Lost in time's most perfect bliss,
As we shared that first gentle kiss.
Then seasons passed too swift, too soon,
Yet what we shared was heaven's boon.
As music fades its dulcet tune,
I sensed you'd leave this coming June.
In break of dawn, our paths must part,
To grant our dreams a fresh new start.
My arms around you linger still,
To keep you close against time's will.
A soft goodbye, or so it seems,
My heart still fills with cherished dreams.
Our love till death—farewell for now,
We'll meet again, somewhere, somehow.
