Moon Monk
As lovers try to find true love
Their past is left in the dark
They only know for certain
Life’s meaningless without a spark.
While others happily roam alone
The path wide enough for all
Seemingly flows for evermore
So why often do we stall?
Most believing life’s its own reward
Watching the few who patiently wait
Confusing the masses who observe
Comes a monk explaining fate.
Do we listen or ignore his words?
Few and simple they appear to be
why do our minds refuse to accept?
For his ways shall set us free.
Our troubled days full of darkness
With his answers we gain sight
But our eyes still clouded over
As he sits in omnipresent light.
Whilst we fight against the fog
In order to keep our control
Motionless he sits and waits
Radiating his enlightened soul.
