More Than Words
You force me to expose my innermost feelings,
Of a woman I have come to adore.
My marriage says I cannot have her,
And this makes me lover her even more.
Her poetic words become alive,
And are plucked from my very heart.
They make me feel she is next to me,
Yet we are oceans and cotenants apart.
Her expression of love that she coveys,
Are like little angels taking to flight.
My heart leaps in my chest,
In an uncontrollable desirous delight.
Can I impart a serious question
That I have dwelt hard and long upon
And I am somewhat shy to mention
As this affection is overwhelmingly strong
That is… have you ever fallen in love?
Seriously speaking now
With someone you have not met?
Nor seen, touched or heard
But you left longing in loves debt
I recently saw a picture
Of a woman I have come to adore.
She has cause a rift in my marriage
Because I love her more and more
To a certain lady whom I cannot mention she is in poetry soup.
