Mother
The comfort in the storm
Since the day you took form
You, in your mother's arms, lay
A barrier from harms way
Til the time you transform
Upon each waxing year
You cast away your fear
Yet in a storm, not content
Until mother's soothing scent
Reminds you she is near
Even when becoming a teen
Having no clue what they mean
Ready for the storms of change
Arms open although estrange
Mom's embrace will ner wean
At times of pain, anguish
A call, "mom" to vanquish
Senseless misery to end
With the memory to send
To mother's arms, our wish
Today as every day
Ask what you want, yes pray
For today's will be bygone
As tomorrow reaches dawn
In your arms your's now lay
The cycle to repeat
Marching to our own beat
Until the time we each reach
Killing buggies upon beseech
Run to you, little feet
Where did time go mother
We are like you mother
All I ask, yet one favor
Just one last time to savor
Your sweet embrace, mother
