My Baby
My baby and me,
we keep each other company.
She tells me what I need.
Her purrs push me to let it all go,
faster with every shift.
We are two in one,
no one knows me like her,
she hears my word when I'm alone,
the things I'd never say to another soul,
but she could never judge.
I push her to do more,
she doesn't stop,
so we keep going,
breaking the law beat by beat,
but she won't care.
It's my baby and me,
the steel cage that helps me breathe.
As I slide into her bucket seat,
she reminds me at that moment,
I am free.
