My Child Nursery Rhyme
Ismael ask his mother, as he climbed upon her knee
Please tell the story one more time, the one that’s about me
His mother smiled kindly, said let’s get into bed
and once he was all tucked in this is what she said..
You didn’t come from mommy’s tummy
But that doesn’t change a thing
You are my son for evermore
to me you’re everything
When you were just a little babe
the Lord called Daddy home
But don’t you think for a moment that we were left alone
He watches over us from heaven
as he sits beside the throne
He talks to God about you
and he’ll watch you till you’re grown
You were meant to be our son from the moment of conception
God gives children to their parents and you are no exception
You didn’t come from mommy’s tummy
But I was meant to be your mother
You are my son forevermore
I would never want another
