My Friend, My Love
My heart, my soul for you have made me whole.
When spending time together I lose all control.
I worry not when we are apart, for we shall meet
once again when we stroll down love’s main street.
For when anguish arrives we shall always defeat.
My soul, my heart may our worlds never part.
You have struck me deep with cupid’s dart.
I shall follow you to heaven and back if needed,
as our future together shall never be completed.
In this life of struggle, we have always succeeded.
My love, my friend may our love never end.
When I was shattered, my heart you did mend,
when pity was required, a hand you did lend.
Now in complete loving bliss I’m saturated
all from this compassionate marriage we created.
My friend, my love sent from up above,
you set me free like a white turtle dove.
Your kindness is all I’ve ever dreamed of.
For you have been my line to my life-
I’m so grateful that I became your wife.
