Love Poem: My Lord

My Lord

My Lord...

My Lord, this day...

You are sweet-smelling,
like the first roses in spring,
and still...
the very cold of winter air
that bites and delights
remains.

The sun rising in the east...
a light to shine against the world,
to give warmth and life
another chance.
A miracle in the heavens
as is the sky itself...
The majesty of the beginning,
only to be revealed
more clearly in the end.

I love you, Lord...
King of my life.
You give me hope
when the earth shakes
and the time quakes
on the hands of the clock
that is running out.

Save the lost, my Savior...
Save them, I know you can.
You are real,
if they would only...
feel.
Yet the old and cold (hearted)
the young and the bold, (prideful)
rake against the reality
of all Our Tomorrows
razed to the ground.

Thank you, Father,
for Your Grace,
It's very measure, un-measureable.
Like the sand on the beach,
no two alike, no end in sight.
You are every thing...
I want to sing!

You are the beginning,
and have been with me before.
You are with me now...
as in the end, forever more.
Your promises are real,
stronger by far than pure steel.

You are forever...
beyond my heart's delight
giving me strength in every fight...
and Your peace in every battle
that needs to be won.
Your peace in every battle,
that I must surrender...
and move on.
