My Love For You
My love for you with time will only grow;
A rose to bloom so beautiful and rare.
To rise as one above the earth below,
Both strengthened by the moments that we share.
Let these words be my soul’s most fervent prayer.
My heart – within your heart – as seed I sow
So deeper roots for years will come to bear.
My love for you with time will only grow.
So when, in time, the winter winds come blow
Then even in our season of despair
We’ll find a blossom pushing through the snow;
A rose to bloom so beautiful and rare.
And as the summer breeze stirs changing air
I’ll be with you throughout its shifting flow
Like wings, we’ll beat together as a pair
To rise as one above the earth below
Our melody of love will overflow
Much louder than just words alone declare
Our hearts entuned to beat in stereo,
Both strengthened by the moments that we share.
I’ll love you like I have no time to spare
Today (or with a lifetime left to go)
Let all of me reflect the way I care
So when you read these words again, you’ll know
My love for you.
