My Morning Poem
Hush of morning, palest blue sky
Pine trees sway a lullaby rising.
I whisper your name and it lay sweet
Like dew on the morning grass.
My morning sighs in longing,
A lone bird hovers but does not sing.
I think now, it can't be you so quiet
Who always sang me a love song.
Pale morning sky, pine trees whisper a lullaby
I tip toe now back into a dream.
You hold me with promises to love me forever
I know you do , you are smiling happily.
I see it in the wonder of sunrise
I snuggle again, deep in morning peace.
