No More Forgotten
No More Forgotten
A struggle with dementia
To Nancy
A reminder that your struggle is not for nothing.
There will come a day when precious memories are no more forgotten.
A lifetime spent together and the memories you made.
Silent tears you cry sometimes as you watch her memory fade.
The struggles you are going through so hard to just explain.
The simplest things forgotten in your heart they still remain.
The sometimes disappointments you try so to express.
The aching deep inside of you so seldom you confess.
As angels come to gather to be there at your side.
To help to ease your broken heart and pain you try to hide.
Know ye not tomorrow and all things yet to be.
To all things above and here below that heaven holds the key.
Every precious memory of things you hold so dear.
While for now so far away forever drawing near.
As sunshine comes behind a storm breaking through the darkest cloud.
Your memories will find her and again she will be proud.
Of a lifetime spent together and the memories you made.
And silent tears you cried sometimes as you watched her memory fade.
