No More Masks
No More Masks
Breathless is my wait
For I have found a love
Who loves me for my very being
And not what I am to be.
He sweeps me off my feet
Holding me close
To hear his dear heartbeat.
Comforted I lie in his arms
Pouring out all my nonsensical thoughts.
He smiles endearingly as his loving hands
Caresses my hair away
From my eye to be by him viewed.
Lost is he in the beauty of my innocence
Which I have dared not to ever perceive.
My prattle ends and
He whispers sweet nothings only
To see my bursting smile.
My heart misses a beat even decades later
When he holds me in his protective arms.
My Love wants nothing but Bacchus like
Remains drunk in my love
In his own island of lotus eaters
Refilling his bottomless heart
With every drop of my love for all.
