Nobody Loves Like a Poet
nobody loves like a poet
goodbye, farewell
true love I say to you
with crying and devotion
and having heart to lose
with words so fond
emotions doted on
the angst, the if
the hope,
the examination of love
the cross examination of love
loss found
old age
grief, the unrequited
maybe if we stopped musing
we’d have love
then our words would burst with the
hyperbole of love
poets are born to love
born to love love
born to feel deeply about everyone
born to lose love so they can write about love
love more that most to be able to love
and make it the adorable of human emotions
romantic Romeos of the rhyme
recite magic of the rhythm
Persian verse, eros first
anyone who has ever written
a love poem
knows
nobody but nobody loves like a poet
