Opened Eyes
Choppy oceans crash the rocks
A world completely covered in blocks
Society runs from start to finish
While our big families slowly diminish
Yesterday’s crimes happen again today
While the government’s teachings don’t go away
Taxes are paid to people who don’t deserve them
While children’s eyes slowly go dim
Families curse and have too many babies
While dingoes run freely with thousands of rabies
Diseases happen and appear new everyday
Children with cancer can no longer play
The law is so tied up in their own demented ways
Slowly but surely the sun dissolves it’s unique rays
This world was once a beautiful home
With spectacular wildlife ready to roam
Now it’s been cursed and all torn apart
Created from someone with an eternal heart
While that someone vowed never to destroy it again
While man frantically compete with Him to win
Everyone thinks they can outsmart the Great
By destroying and saturating His world in hate
Everyone’s up for destruction and crime
While nothing moves in our world but time
Tiny little babies don’t ask to be born
While there’s children on streets with clothes all torn
Not enough food for people to go around
But gunshot bullets are our only sound
Competing against the colors blue and red
Shallow little graves with innocent babies dead
How can we change what our world’s come to?
Who will help us? Very few
Different people with different names
World completely filled with ongoing shame
It can’t be helped no one will try
But because of this, I refuse to die
I will do good no matter how long
I will obey and sing God’s song
I will not do sins, I will not lie
But sometimes I might be very shy
I’ll tell the truth even though it’s hard
I will not end up getting the Devil’s card
So here I type in front of You
Grant me the courage so I can be true
