Our Eyes
Our eyes
My child hood is slipping away from me
my memories fading in light of new.
Parts of me still lost in loam
searching for your face in fading grey.
All I have left of you is me.
All I have left of your words
are imprinted in my soul
so that when despair at our seperation
becomes to great
I can hold, caress, and run them through my mind
like the silk of the blanket you wrapped me in
and put around my shoulders
to look in the water
and find your eyes
and see you
in mine
