Our Promise
Now, as I look back to the time we spent together,
I remember how we promised this is forever!
We made up our minds, in only six months time,
I said I'll be yours and you said you will be mine.
Walking to work singing, without a care in the world
And every night in each other's arms we curled.
We had our ups and downs, our life was like a roller coaster,
But every obstacle we overcame, brought us even closer.
Sometimes it felt like we got everything worked out,
I never imagined that this is how it would turn out.
Remember the day you asked me to be your wife?
That was the happiest day of my entire life!
It was a beautiful summer day, no clouds in sight.
You picked out the rings which the two of us will unite.
A perfect plan you hatched for this special occasion,
But our little kitty didn't understand your explanation.
In the end, with kitty in your arms and with the rings she played,
You got down on one knee and our promise was made.
