Our Time
Our Time
The first time that our eyes would meet,
just babes, first day of school.
A twinkle shared was spark enough,
to make one soul of two.
Such pure and intimate being,
this new soul we then created.
Through years of feelings kept inside,
for us it grew and waited.
It wrapped your arms around me,
many long and lonely nights,
and came to you as dreams of me,
so not to be denied.
Tho miles apart with separate lives,
for years to be ignored;
an intity so strong itself,
not bound by human form.
It drew us back close once again,
tho others by our sides;
finally voicing feelings hidden;
sad we never had our time.
Only once near forty years,
I've looked upon your face.
We shall have our time, my love,
tho not this plane or place.
When our bodies lay to rest,
this realm we will depart.
Our souls combined will then be free
to frolick neath the stars.
We'll breeze ore sandy beaches,
where ner our feet did trod.
Draw footprints there with fingers
made of winds; the breath of God.
We'll flutter over soft green fields,
where never we did lay;
imprinting golden silloetts,
with hands of pure sun rays.
Then wisp up to the heavens,
where forever we well be;
one loving soul, made from two;
a spark from you and me.
A comet for our carriage,
we'll strow star dust on the moon;
a dance floor made for soul mates,
celestial creatures playing tunes.
Our time ner will cease, my love;
one soul forever more.
Galaxys only seen by God;
His lifetime to explore.
